We hate to be late to the party here, but we have to admit we are because the talented women behind Melangerie continue to receive so much fabulous recognition and we are just getting around to featuring them today. Nonetheless, we wanted to give them a shout-out, as they are working with one of our client’s to create gift bags for her early-summer wedding.  Melangerie is an exceptionally unique company that designs everything from custom gift bags to event-related print materials.  We are also looking forward to sharing the final product that’s currently in the works for our client!

Here is how Melangerie describes their company and process…
General Definition of Mélanges: Mélanges are our answer to the gift basket: a thoughtfully curated group of items accessorized with distinct design details (and no cellophane wrap, thank you). Our mélange contents and packaging can be completely personalized and designed to coordinate with your event theme and aesthetic. One can include a custom designed guide with a map of event locations and personal recommendations. Our custom event guides also make fabulous gifts on their own, or great additions to a pre-assembled gift.

Lindsey & Brad’s Dirty Laundry
This alternative wedding guest book encouraged guests to “air out” the bride and groom’s dirty laundry. Instructions inscribed on a detergent bottle prompted guests to write funny stories about Lindsey & Brad on cards shaped like shirts, pants, socks, etc. Guests then clipped the cards to the “clothesline,” which was strung at the reception entryway. We are currently in the process of designing a memory book with these cards so notes from Lindsey & Brad’s guests will never fade away.

Destination Wedding Welcome Mélanges
Olivia & Oscar tied the knot in St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Mélangerie helped welcome guests to the festivities by creating a mélange of beach day essentials “for two”. Packaged in a beach tote, guests received a two-person towel, vintage copies of the classic beach reads “Robinson Crusoe” and “Swiss Family Robinson”,
St. John’s native Cruise Bay Rum wrapped with a mixed drink recipe, sunscreen, and of course, sustenance: bottled Fiji water and two bananas. Each component of the gift was labeled with whimsical tags, beckoning guests to frolic in the sand and savor their tropical getaway.

Jake and Julie’s Weekend Guide
Julie and Jake were married in San Francisco on New Year’s Eve. A gift of hand-picked products from this locale were placed in each guest’s hotel room along with a customized pocket-map noting the couple’s favorite
restaurants and SF spots, location and directions to the weekend’s events,as well as personally relevant spots, like where they had their first date.
